Budokan Karate-do Open Inter School Championship
CT World School, Jalandhar organized 1st Punjab Budokan Karate-do Open Inter School Championship 2018 on 25.10.2018. Around hundred students from different schools like Baba Farid Model School(Jalandhar), Innocent Hearts School (Jalandhar), Sardar Patel Convent School, (Abohar), Kirpal Sagar Academy (Rahon), K.V(Suranassi, DAV Public School (Panipat) and many more participated in this event. The aim of this event was to promote Karate across all ages and boundaries. CT world School being the host of this event bagged 10 medals including 1 Gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze under different age groups of category Kumite and Kata. Students who competed under the category Kumite and have won the medals are: Jashanpreet Singh Saini (Gold, U-14), Sehajleen Kaur, (Silver,U-10), Ekamveer ( Silver, U-7), Adhvay Nair( Silver, U-8), Angad Lakha (Bronze, U-6) Ashmit Kaur(Bronze, U-8),Jastaj Singh(Bronze, U-10), and students who have competed in Kata and have won the medals are Ashmit (Gold, U-8), Jashanpreet Singh Saini(Silver,U-14),Prateek Khetawat(Silver,U-12). One of the trainers, Mr. Kanwar Singh Dhiman, who's known as Master of Martial Arts admired the efforts of school and remarked that school has been a great help and the tutors were supporting too. Students and Trainers were highly impressed with the infrastructure and complimented the ways in which event was organised. Mrs. Madhu Sharma, Principal CT World School remarked that such inter-school events play an important role in motivating students to perform, excel and offer a lot more reward than just winning a prize. Such competitions also encourage students to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills, she added. S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, Mr. Manbir Singh, M.D., Mr. Harpreet Singh, VC of CT Group congratulated the winners and remarked that such competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyse and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. He also promised to offer more such platforms where students can master this art which is a symbol of bravery and self defense.
